Internships at AI2

About the Program

Research Internships

Undergraduate or graduate students in AI-related fields are invited to apply for full-time research internships with us year-round. Applicants should have an interest in natural language processing, machine learning, knowledge representation, semantics, question answering, textual entailment, and/or computer vision. All interns are paired with a mentor and will participate directly in AI2's groundbreaking work. There are no restrictions on publications based on internships. International candidates are welcome to apply. Pay is competitive, and visa sponsorship is available. Each of our research teams has a specific application for interested candidates, so please familiarize yourself with our projects and apply to the specific team(s) that best match your skills and interests.

Engineering Internships

AI2 also offers full-time engineering internships, which are available to junior and senior undergraduates as well as graduate students. Engineering internships might include projects like working on our internal experimentation product to add features for optimizing scheduling across our on-premise cluster, or implementing a recently published model into the AllenNLP library. We typically open our engineering internship role for applications in October and make hiring decisions by the end of the year.

Internships during COVID-19

AI2 is offering remote internships during the COVID-19 pandemic, which includes the summer of 2021. Interns will work remotely with their mentors and teams and will not be required to travel to the US during this time.
